With the signature of the statement of support letter, José Edel Álvarez Delong, CEO of Nuvoil Group highlighted the commitment of the highest levels of the company to the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals, utilizing the WEPs diagnosis tool, with the purpose of providing information about Nuvoil’s performance in relation to the gender equality and women’s empowerment.
“The principles we adhere to constitute the pillars of Nuvoil’s commitment to gender equality. The figure of 257 years from now, indicated by UN to achieve labor equality as a consequence of the pandemic effects, inspires us to join this fight. We see the Mexican hydrocarbon private sector as a generator of welfare that can close gender gaps at work. We invite other companies to adhere to the principles”, said José Edel Álvarez Delong, CEO of Nuvoil Business Group.
The WEPs represent for Nuvoil a tool supplementary to the actions implemented with regards to gender integration, such as the education flagship program: «Yo también tengo un sueño (I also have a dream)» which has been specially designed for its collaborators, the commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals and the participation in the «Target Gender Equality» program, an initiative to accelerate the representation and leadership of women in the company, which is also promoted by the United Nations Global Compact.
